- LHF was organized on Nov. 10, 1992 by Rev. Dr. Robert Rahn.
- LHF is directed by a 15-member board made up of pastors, teachers and lay people of the LCMS.
- LHF engages more than 300 individuals around the world who serve as translators, reviewers, editors, general linguists and theological specialists in order to provide the most accurate translations possible.
- LHF has published over 3 million Lutheran books, which are distributed freely to missionaries, churches and individuals.
- LHF became a Recognized Service Organization within the LCMS in 1998.
