The Way of the Cross
Keistman, Herb
The Way of the Cross – A lay-level exposition of Luther’s “Theology of the Cross” as Luther explained it in his Heidelberg Disputation of 1518. Luther’s “Theology of the Cross” is both very difficult for the human mind to comprehend, and yet, at the same time, profoundly simple, and is ultimately the very point of Christianity. The Way of the Cross takes the reader thesis by thesis through the 28 theological theses of Luther’s Heidelberg Disputation and quotes liberally, not only from Luther’s own explanations, but also from works by twentieth century Lutheran theologians as Gerhard O. Forde and Hermann Sasse.
